Three simple steps. Start with the jaws up. 1) Lift the tree. 2) Rest the tree on top of the jaws. 3) Push it down to lock it in.
If installed properly, the trunk will be anchored on to the spike in the base of the stand. 1) Step on the top rim of the base with one foot. 2) Wiggle the tree a little to loosen it from the spikes. 3) Pull it straight up and out.
1) Push down on one or two of the jaws on the side you'd like the tree to lean more toward. 2) Tilt the tree that direction. 3) Release the jaws.
No. The rubber bands only keep the jaws up against the trunk of the tree. The jaws and base hold the tree upright.
If stored indoors and away from extreme heat or cold, they will last 5 years.
